Mission Statement:
We are centered on the belief that life has its own value. Through out the millennia horses have shared a
special relationship with man kind, it is in this spirit that hat our organization attends to the needs of our equine friends.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
providing care and security in a natural life style , working with other humane organizations for the care of any horse in need. Providing education to the community in a variety of ways, providing support for our youth and service to the community.
Program History:
Founded in 2003 we have focused on the horses and the rescue, shared life with a large amount of youth and adults in community service. Horses are brought back to health over long periods of recuperation often re schooled and adopted into loving homes. Successful friendships and bonding occur with many of the children
we know and the art of sharing and caring is deeply understood with the human animal connection. our outcome is a better focus on life, giving the horses credit here they are wonderful teachers There is an unwritten transition that comes through and we recognize in our youthful participants. Lots of daily activity no matter the weather or the season. Keeps a working but enjoyable arena of life and situations we all must face or know how to handle.
Events:
Horse show for rescue horses, first of its kind, in US, Trail rides, seminars for horses and guardians(we prefer this over ownership) it brings thought your activity when you are a guardian. Training in Tech large animal emergency rescue, various animal days in the community, summer camp and events.
Additional Information:
Spirit Acres Farm is now looking for new facility and land to expand on. We ask all who may wish to consider this widely talented organization that fills so many needs all day and everyday. As a nonprofit 501c-3 we do look for a contribution of land and facility or assistance finding this much needed location We are the only organization in this county of Montgomery, Texas and surrounding areas as well that can accomplishes all we do. And the need to grow is demanding we can average 50 horse population, 5-10 people daily and so much can be accomplished with community interest and support. And we are a volunteer staffed facility.
