History:
Young Rembrandts was born 29 years ago with 8 kids around a kitchen table in Chicago. It has now grow to be an International Franchise committed to expand the visual literacy of kids everywhere.
Program Highlights:
We are the only after school art enrichment program that teaches drawing, using a methodology specifically designed to improve student perception, visualization and organizational skills. At Young Rembrandts, we teach children to draw - the fundamental skill of all visual arts - using a sequential, ordered process. As a result, students show dramatic improvement in their drawing abilities, expand their art vocabulary and art history knowledge, demonstrate patience, discipline and focus, and improve their attention to detail and sequencing skills. All of our Young Rembrandts teachers have a passion for art and children. They are fully trained, thoroughly screened and have received a national background check before they can teach.
Support Services: We provide all the art supplies needed in the class. Our classes are small enough that we can handle artists who otherwise may not be served.
Activities:
A new drawing each week using dry medium.
Field Trip Destinations: We come to you for our infamous "in-house" field trips. Save on cost, time and provide more art to your families.
