Located in the University City section of Philadelphia, PA, The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College is in the heart of one of the U.S.'s most unique cultural centers. Some of the nation's most prestigious college campuses including the Ivy League's University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia neighbor its campus.
The heart of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College's campus is a picturesque European courtyard situated in the midst of an American college environment. The college's major building, Allison Mansion, features bright restaurant kitchens, multi-media enhanced lecture halls, computer labs, a library, and four different themed open-to-the-public restaurants, which serve as part of educational life. As the college grows and new buildings are added, the Mansion continues to serve as the hub of campus life.

Tuition: Tuition for students who start in September 2017 is $6,550 per academic term for the full-time program. Technology and lab fees cost $1,070 per term. Activities:
With over 30 clubs and organizations, there are plenty of opportunities for recreation on and off campus. Activities include food, wine, sports, art, gaming, music, and so much more. Students participate in local and national culinary arts competitions, attend national and regional trade shows, and lend a hand at charity fundraising events. They also assist visiting chefs in our kitchens and take part in banquets, dinners, and promotional events at the College.

Application/Transfer Deadlines: There are no application deadlines, but students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Our full-time associate and bachelor’s degree programs begin each February and September. Also, the Extended Program for part-time Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts associate students begins each April and November. Students applying for the September start may apply as early as the previous fall.

Summer Sessions:
We offer a two-day Culinary Arts Summer Camp for rising high school sophomores and juniors and a three-day Summer Institute program for rising high school seniors.
International Students:
In addition to all other admissions requirements, international students must provide the following: • A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 480 or higher is required if English is not your native language. • International high school transcripts must be sent to World Education Services for credential evaluation. • Official bank statements are needed to verify sufficient funds to cover the cost of the educational program and living expenses for the first academic year. • SEVIS I-20 form, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” must be submitted to the American Consulate in your home country. Please contact our Office of Admissions for this form.
Study Abroad: One of the most exciting aspects of getting an education at Walnut Hill College is that the world becomes your classroom. At the end of our associate and bachelor’s degree programs, students travel to France, England, or Florida & the Bahamas for a firsthand look at the hospitality and culture emphasized in their classes.
