Program Highlights:

Chelsea Dibble Music Studio offers private piano, guitar and singing lessons. Lessons are given on a weekly, one-on-one basis. Lessons are tailored to each student based on that student's needs and goals. We use a variety of pedagogical technique and learning psychology to create the best, easiest, and most tailored lessons to each of our students. We encourage daily at-home practice, performance opportunities, semesterly recitals and parlor nights. We have very strong musical and personal relationships with each of our students and each of our students receives our undivided attention, lesson preparation and instruction. Many of our students have leads in plays, make it into All-State choir and orchestra each year, successfully audition into Denver School of the Arts. All of our students accomplish their personal goals and even our most recreational learner improves in their instrument each semester.

Recitals: There are recitals at the end of each fall and spring semester; December and May.
History:

The school was founded by Chelsea Dibble in 2010. It has grown from 10 to over 80 students in the past few years. It became an in-home studio as we realized that we could have the best resources on hand for our students--repertoire choices, theory and technic exercises, if we were at the studio and had a library that we could draw from during lessons.

Education/Awards: Chelsea Dibble has her B.A. in Vocal Performance from CU Boulder and her M.M. in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Matt Richter has his Bachelor's Degree in Music Business from Elmhurst College in Chicago and his Master's in Guitar Performance from the Lamont School of Music at DU in Denver.
Academic Teaching Experience: Chelsea is an adjunct professor at Colorado Technical University. She also teaches Pre-K and Kindergarten piano lessons at Riverstone Education, a Merryhill school, in Lone Tree.
Private Teaching Experience: Both Chelsea and Matt have over 7 years of full-time private teaching experience.
Adjudication: LLC
Performance Credentials: Both Chelsea and Matt perform on a regular basis for various concerts, bands, weddings and community events.
Mission Statement:

Chelsea Dibble Music Studio is a high-quality, unique musical experience for your student. At this point in its life cycle, Chelsea Dibble Music Studio is an in-home studio. There are 3 lesson spaces; a guitar studio, a voice studio and a performance studio. Emphasis is given on creating a musical atmosphere where students understand that there are others taking lessons just as they are and having a natural relationship with playing music in front of others.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

Chelsea Dibble Music Studio focuses on providing this type of musical environment because the music world is changing and the outdated classical focus of music learning will become obsolete if it does not also embrace the contemporary. Conversely, the quality of musicians in the contemporary genre could benefit from an influx of musicians who have formal training, business smarts and a traditional commitment to music practice, technique and value for personal excellence. There is a rift between classically trained musicians and contemporary musicians that grows larger by the day. A fusion between classically trained musicians playing popular music in popular venues is essential for the music world to continue to thrive and have highly trained, quality musicians contributing to it. In addition, the popularity of social media, especially in Instagram and YouTube as it showcases musicians has not been accessed by classical music studios. An influx of classically trained musicians presenting their hard work, critiquing their peers and showing what progress in music practice looks like, would further fuse the medium that popular musicians use with the showcasing of classically trained musicians.
