School History:

FCS was founded in 1986 by members of Adelphi Friends Meeting, and moved to its current and permanent campus in 2007. FCS benefits from the long and distinguished tradition of Friends education that emphasizes a child-centered approach, the linkage of intellectual, social and spiritual growth, and the cherished inclusion of a diverse range of backgrounds and beliefs.

Additional Information:

4. bring background knowledge and interdisciplinary approaches to learning;
5. offer original and creative thinking and analysis;
6. show respect for peers as well as teachers;
7. are responsible local and global citizens who have an ingrained desire to serve their communities; and
8. show emotional and social maturity in their choices.
