Time to Read: Make time to read such a daily habit, that your reading behavior inspires others to read. Choose the literature (books, magazines, digital) you've been wanting to read AND earn graduate credit, too! Sweet! Description:
Time to Read is a course for you, to remind you that your primary job as a teacher is to promote reading. Instruction of reading is one way to teach reading. The other is to be well-versed in literature to role model the value of reading as a necessary skill for indpendence and self-care; reading is a way to inform, entertain, learn and inspire. In this course, you will choose what you want to read - follow your passion. Choose literature from the latest releases to the classics; from fiction to nonfiction, adult, young adult, picture books, across the subject areas, from any genres (except professional materials.*) Create a practical and useful annotated reading log and curriculum application that promotes the habit of reading. Know that the more you are enjoying your time reading, the more you are fulfilling the requriements for this course. In a stressful and demanding profession, Time to Read offers you the opportunity to feed the soul of the reader and learner within and inspire others to read by being a role model of reading.
