Program Information: Volunteer and Explore Africa (Ghana), a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization, is to provide volunteering and traveling opportunities in Ghana that make it possible for both hosts and visitors to share, discover, teach and learn with respect. Volunteers gain a sense of satisfaction from contributing to Ghanaian communities, but they also learn language and gain insights into culture, ecology, history and geography while exploring the country.

Some places to visit in Ghana just to list a few are:
*Kakum National park which is a Rainforest reserve with canopy walkway
*Cape Coast Castle which was established by the British to enables the transfer of slaves into America, and other parts of Europe
*National Museum of Ghana which has the monument, cultural history of Ghana
*Mole National Park which has Safaris, parks, elephants, and nature situated in a rural environment
*Elmina Castle which has a very great historical value in our motherland also a point of slavery and with British colonization
*Busua which is a beach, seaside resort, surfing and is part of the coastal lines
*the Lake Volta whih is a Lake, water reservoir, close rivers and nature
*Nzulezo which is a place where houses are on rivers and also has a very great cultural value
*Labadi Beach which is located in the capital city of Ghana and has great sea view, coastal elements, great facilities and is a place for relaxation.
*James Fort: This is situated in the suburb of Jamestown. It used to be one of the monuments of the Europeans and slavery. Presently it houses a number of prisoners in Accra.
*Christiansburg castle-it is unique among the castles and forts in Ghana as it served as Government House during various periods in the 19th centuries and continues to play that role today.
*The Arts Center is a great place to shop for handicrafts but you must also be prepared for a hard sell.
*The biggest tree in West Africa
*The Magic tree in Ghana
*The Kintampo waterfalls located on the Kumasi-Kintampo highway provides a panoramic scene and superbly display the beauty of nature. It is about 4km away from the Kintampo Township, on the Kumasi-Tamale road. This is the point where the Pumpu River falls some seventy (70) meters to continue its journey towards the Black Volta at Buipe . The Kintampo falls is shaped in a beautiful staircase. This superb falls mysteriously disappears and resurfaces 200 meters away from its original location. Its great scenery makes it a favourite attraction for tourists who visit the region( Brong Ahafo). One can never miss the Boambeng Fiema Monkey Santuary in the Brong Ahafo region as well.
And many other interesting venues.
