Contribute to a Community Development project that benefits the local community of Causeni, Moldova. The volunteers’ role may involve youth work, seminars and workshops that emphasize cultural diversity, organizing and facilitating events, active community involvement, social inclusion, healthy lifestyle, and human rights. All the programs aim to create awareness and to empower and encourage young people who are expected to make a positive impact on their own community for years to come.

Volunteers will be required to use their skills to contribute to social work or community development, so they can help local non-government organizations develop programs, advocate, support marginalized groups, and evaluate and monitor successes.

as well you have an option of  Volunteer as an English teacher in a Community Language Center situated in the scenic town of Causeni, located about 80 kilometers from the Moldovan capital city of Chisinau. Volunteers meet over 150 motivated students of varying ages, from seven to 55.

The volunteer teachers will work with students who mostly started learning English at approximately 10 years old. Their role is mainly to teach conversational English. They receive guidance and assistance from local teachers, especially with regard to lesson content and preparation. While they are expected to have a flexible outlook, volunteers usually get a chance to choose which age group they would like to teach. They typically handle classes of five to 15 students.

Moldovan students rarely get any opportunity to travel and are eager to learn about volunteers’ home country.
