Additional Information
School Information:
BEI has been providing quality multicultural education to individuals, groups and government service programs in the Houston area for more than twenty five years.
As one of the few accredited private language schools in Houston, we continue to build our role as a leader in multi-cultural communication through diverse projects ranging from Refugee Education Programs to our Intensive English Program, and a Foreign Language Program.
From its modest beginnings in 1982, BEI has become one of the state’s foremost language and cultural training centers. In every respect, we are engaged in helping individuals acquire and understand other languages and cultures. People make an institute great, so whether you are a student, teacher, staff member, graduate, company, neighbor, or visitor, your interest and enthusiasm are valued and appreciated.
Tuition: Tuition Varies depending on program and level of English Proficiency, giver us a call today to discuss a language program that best meets your needs.
Curriculum Highlights:
Students in these intensive programs will be focusing on seven essential components of language acquisition, including Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, Idioms, Conversation and Cultural Awareness. BEI provides 8 levels of Intensive English, from Pre-1 to Level 7.
School Setting:
Bilingual Education Institute is located in the beautiful Galleria area of Houston, close to shpping, resturants and within close driving distance to galleries, museums and recreational areas. While Houston has long been recognized as the energy capital of the world, it is the energy of its diverse population, vibrant business climate and quality of life that make it unique. It is an international city. It is a leader in the arts, education and healthcare. It is a city that continues to take the best of its past and build on the future. Houston, there is no better place to build your future!
Program Information: Our Intensive English Programs focus on essential building blocks for language acquisition: Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, Vocabulary/Idioms, Conversation, and Cultural Awareness. As we begin the enrollment process for our students, we administer a comprehensive one hour and fifteen minute placement evaluation. This evaluation measures a student’s language abilities in reading, writing, conversation, and comprehension. Using the scores from the assessment, we place the students at the appropriate level. We have levels Pre-1 to Level 7 available for enrollment. Our native-speaker instructors focus on building proficiency by using structured classroom instruction, by subject, and activities during the four hour block. Every day, students delve into level appropriate textbooks and are expected to complete homework assignments and other activities, to optimize language learning.
